Anaya Deen first imagined the world of Crestwick when she was eleven years old, after her English teacher assigned the class a fantasy writing project. She didn't yet have the confidence to bring the story to life, but the idea stayed with her. Years later, she decided to write the book for her eleven‑year‑old self.

Born and raised in England, Anaya now lives in Asia with her family. She writes in her spare time and began developing the Crestwick series after completing a Master's in Novel Writing during the Covid years.
